SANDHYA SHEKAR
Sandhya’s journey into the world of beauty and makeup artistry began at an early age. From experimenting with her mother’s makeup to using beetroot to stain her cheeks, her curiosity and passion for hair and makeup were evident. Despite starting her career in the financial sector, her love for makeup eventually led her to take a leap of faith and pursue her true calling.
In 2009, Sandhya began her professional makeup career, and over the years, she has become one of the most recognized names in the industry. Her impressive portfolio includes collaborations with leading magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Grazia, GQ, Marie Claire, and Cosmopolitan. Beyond print, she has worked on numerous television commercials, print campaigns, and with some of the biggest names in Bollywood, including Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, Jacqueline Fernandez, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Parineeti Chopra, to name a few.
She is also responsible for some of the most iconic looks of Deepika Padukone at the Cannes Film Festival and the Met Gala. The industry recognised her excellence by awarding her Vogue Makeup Artist of the Year 2018 and Elle Artist of the Year 2016.
